Your destination. Your event. Your global stage.
The IBC World Tour – Rising Series is your entry point into the world's premier bodyboarding circuit. An accessible, learn-by-doing model that gives local promoters the full IBC framework, global media reach, and hands-on technical support to host a world-class competition.
Two tiers. One world tour. One clear path to the top.
The IBC World Tour operates across two distinct competition levels. Understanding where the Rising Series fits — and where it leads — is the first step to becoming an official IBC event host.
Accessible. Structured. Supported. The Rising Series lets promoters build operational capacity with full IBC guidance — lower entry requirements, flexible formats, real officials, and real world-ranking points.
The pinnacle of professional bodyboarding. Reserved for promoters with proven experience and world-class infrastructure. Every detail, from technical operations to athlete welfare and broadcast aesthetics, must reflect the highest international standards.
"The IBC acts as a development and support partner — guiding promoters to build events that are technically solid, economically sustainable, and internationally relevant."
Not an expense. A catalyst for economic growth, global visibility, and community impact.
Hosting an IBC Rising Series stop means acquiring a global entertainment franchise — one that generates measurable media traction, injects immediate economic activity, and transforms your community's international profile.
Your destination reaches a global audience through IBC's broadcasts and social media — YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok. Every heat, every ride becomes content that puts your beach on the international map.
Elite athletes, IBC officials, media crews, and staff arrive weeks in advance — filling your hotels, restaurants, and businesses before competition even begins.
Hosting an IBC stop permanently positions your destination on the global surf-travel map — often during off-peak seasons, boosting hotel occupancy when you need it most.
As a non-profit governing body, IBC prioritizes equal access to sport, grassroots development, and environmental responsibility — including beach clean-up activations and youth development programs.
An IBC event is a living masterclass. Local athletes compete shoulder-to-shoulder with the world's best — raising their level through direct exposure to elite technique, mindset, and competitive culture.
In an era defined by screen dependency, bodyboarding offers a powerful antidote. A child inspired by an IBC event is a child drawn back to the ocean — to physical effort, to nature, to real human connection.
The economic impact of an IBC event extends well beyond event week. Direct investment flows into local suppliers, logistics, hospitality, and services — activating industries that benefit the entire community.
